Musashino Animation

Musashino Animation (武蔵野アニメーション Musashino Animēshon; MUSANI (ムサニ, Musani) for short) is the fictional animation studio where the story and characters of SHIROBAKO are focused.

The studio was called Musashino Video (武蔵野動画, Musashino Dōga) before its bankruptcy. After the bankruptcy of Musashino Video, some of the staff rebuilt the studio into the current Musashino Animation.

In the time skip between the anime and the movie, Musashino Animation had an incident known as the TimeHippo Incident that brought the company nearly to the edge of collapse.

• On Episode 15, the studio's welcoming ceremony officially states MusAni's 40th founding anniversary in the following year.
