Chazawa is highly irresponsible, lazy and arrogant, apparently thinking that he cant be fired from his high raking job and there for, does not need to put in any effort at all. Often found, with his feet on his desk or partaking in none work related activities when he is suppose to be working such a golf, but informing those who need his help that his is busy. Showing complete indifference to his job and justifying this with the excuse that part of it is to make the authors (Nogame) life easer. And so, by not communicating requests between Musashino Animation and the author at all, he is accomplishing this and admittedly making his own life easy at the same time, not taking into account that this might destroy the production and seemingly not caring about this either. To help cover all of this up, he dose not pass on and blocks request for Muashino staff to meet with Nogame. However, Shinsuke gets around this by finding Nogame contact info and talking to him directly.
Background[]
After Musashino Animation got the Third Aerial Girls Squad's adaptation rights from Yodaka Books, Chazawa started the supervision of the adaptation as he was Takezo Nogame's editor.
Chazawa says everything will be fine but, in fact, he almost never sent designing drafts made by the studio to the author. When Musani staffs ask the designing draft issue, he said that he had no time while he was actually playing golf, until Musani staffs caught him at the golf playground.
He also blocked all of the conversations between Musani and Nogame. Chazawa stated that it's because he wants Nogame to "have less work". After Nogame had a discussion with Seiichi Kinoshita and found that Chazawa blocked all of the conversations, Nogame and Yodaka's managers' fire Shinsuke. Later, he becomes a photographer and photographs all of Third Aerial Girls Squad's staff.
For unknown reasons, Chazawa gets around with Yodaka's managers in the movie.
Etymology[]
- The name Shinsuke means "trust, believe" (信) (shin) and "help" (輔) (suke).
- Shinsuke's surname Chazawa means "tea" (茶) (cha) and "marsh" (沢) (sawa/zawa).
